Systems Engineer

Duties:

Plays an essential role in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining advanced control and security systems.

Systems Design: Responsible for conducting site surveys of existing client infrastructure, including low voltage power requirements and network infrastructure. Collaborates with clients to understand system needs and develop conceptual designs that address current and future requirements. Assists in creating design models that ensure robust, scalable systems, and helps prepare detailed project specifications, identifying opportunities for improvement and product selection.

System Development, Integration, Implementation, and Deployment: Conduct system surveys to assess existing conditions, including infrastructure, network, and security components. Assist in preparing project specifications and selecting system products to meet client needs. Manage end-to-end infrastructure development, including server setup, network configuration, access control, intrusion detection, and communication systems design. Utilize tools like Docker and Kubernetes to create scalable, automated control systems, integrating AI-driven analytics for enhanced security. Deploy and integrate advanced security systems, ensuring seamless interoperability and functionality. Set up servers, networks, cloud storage, PLC logic control, and program access control systems, incorporating SQL databases for data integration. Evaluate infrastructure for improvements based on performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Conduct thorough testing and validation of systems, provide training, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation. Offer ongoing support to ensure continuous system functionality and high performance.

System Functionality and Operational Readiness (SFOR): Assist in defining and tracking performance metrics such as uptime and system reliability. Support in identifying root causes of system issues and analyzing potential failure points to prevent downtime and optimize performance. Contribute to implementing automated testing frameworks to ensure system updates do not disrupt functionality. Help maintain high system availability and ensure operational efficiency, meeting the defined SFOR criteria and client expectations.

System Analysis, Debugging, and Performance Monitoring: Assist in implementation, testing and performance metrics to ensure system efficiency and reliability. Conduct system analysis to identify areas for optimization and generate detailed performance reports with actionable insights. Design and implement automated tools for troubleshooting, log analysis, and error reporting, utilizing Python and SQL for diagnostics and data analysis. Develop proactive maintenance schedules based on predictive analytics to keep systems secure and up to date. Resolve system issues and engage in improvement initiatives to maintain optimal client system performance.
