JOB DETAILS
- Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
- Oversees receiving of all incoming and outgoing materials
- Responding to Project Manager’s and team members’ inquiries and referring them to the proper channels
- Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
- Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
- Tracking and fixing shipping errors
- Assisting in Preparing bills and invoices and vendor payments details
- Managing distribution and shipment budgets
- Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
- Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
- Asset tagging all materials received
- Ensuring the material handout processes and procedures are enforced and followed
- Ensuring goods are stored safely and in an organized manner
- Ensuring timely delivery of materials to different project sites and ensuring coordination with the required parties
- Ensure shipping documentation are updated and in-compliance
- Perform other duties as required
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Detailed Oriented: Ensuring all of the Quotes and POs match the end ensuring quality in their outputs
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills These will be used to determine our company’s product needs and to create constructive relationships with vendors.
- Project management: Ability to manage multiple projects at one time. The ability to plan, delegate and evaluate progress toward goals is necessary for managing these projects.
- Negotiation: negotiating vendor contracts, so they must understand price points and be able to negotiate effectively.
- Problem-solving: Must have strong problem-solving skills. For example, they may need to solve the problem of a product or service that does not meet the quality standards of their company.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations
- Firm grasp of the supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
- Strong team player
- Experience working with a construction/engineering firm, a plus
- Resourceful and quick learner attitude
